Electrical Reports

Allow us to carry out an electrical installation condition report (EICR) which will assess how safe your current electrical system is.

You will be given an ‘unsatisfactory’ or ‘satisfactory’ score based on whether or not the system is safe or if it requires immediate attention and is likely to be dangerous. Ratings are:

• C1 – danger requiring immediate attention
• C2 – potentially dangerous, requires urgent attention
• C3 – Not dangerous but may need improvements

 

How to tell if you need an EICR?

It is suggested that you regularly check your electrical system for safety reasons. The IET wiring regulations BS 7671 suggest these time frames:

 

Business owners – once every 5 years

Landlords – Once every 5 years or every time there is a change of tenancy

 

Homeowners – Once every 10 years
